The Kronecker Delta symbol

The Kronecker delta symbol looks like δ_ij, where i and j are just two integer numbers. Basically, the Kronecker delta is equal to either 1 or 0, depending on whether the numbers i and j are the same or different.

0 if i ≠ j

So, for example, δ₂₂, δ_{-1, -1} and δ₀₀ are all equal to 1, but δ₁₂ is equal to zero. It's that simple.
